Who we are
Ruaha Catholic University (RUCU) is a private Catholic university located in Iringa Municipality, in Tanzania's Southern Highlands. The university is owned by the Tanzania Episcopal Conference and is dedicated to providing quality higher education, research and community service rooted in ethical, scientific and human development values.
Our history
RUCU was established in 2005 as a constituent college of St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT). On 29 September 2014 it became a fully independent university, and it has grown since then into an institution of five faculties and one institute serving more than five thousand students.

Mission
RUCU is committed to being a higher learning institution that provides demand-driven quality education to enable students to become responsible professionals with moral and ethical values in society, alongside quality teaching, research and consultancy aimed at producing skilled manpower for effective services and leadership.
